✅ Guaranteed Fit — Max dish size per rack: 12"W × 11.5"D × 4"H. All our recipes use dishes that actually fit your Ninja Double Stack XL DCT401.
💡 Use the air fry basket. Steak should be at room temperature before cooking. Do not flip more than once — you want a good crust on each side. Use a solid pan (not the basket) — this recipe contains liquids.

🥘 Ingredients
Main
  • 2 ribeye or strip steaks (1-inch thick, about 8 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
Garlic Butter
  • 3 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
📝 Instructions
  1. Remove steaks from fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Pat completely dry. Shared 💡 Room-temp steak cooks more evenly. Cold steak equals grey band around the edge.
  2. Rub steaks all over with olive oil, then season generously with salt and pepper. Shared 💡 Do not be shy with salt — steak needs it. At least 1/2 tsp per side.
  3. Mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, and thyme. Set aside. Shared 💡 Compound butter can be made days ahead and refrigerated.
  4. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 400°F for 5 minutes. Lower Oven 💡 A full 5-minute preheat is crucial for steak — you are essentially searing it.
  5. Place steaks in the pan. Air Fry at 400°F for 5 minutes. Lower Oven 💡 The first side gets the deepest crust. Do not touch it during this time.
  6. Flip steaks. Air Fry at 400°F for 3-5 minutes for medium-rare (130-135°F internal). Lower Oven 💡 Use a thermometer: 125°F rare, 135°F med-rare, 145°F medium, 155°F well.
  7. Top each steak with half the garlic butter. Tent with foil and rest 5 minutes before serving. Shared 💡 Resting is not optional — cut too early and all the juices run onto the plate.
💡 Ninja Tips

Steak thickness matters more than weight. 1-inch steaks at 400°F follow these times exactly. Thicker steaks need 2-3 more minutes per side. Always use a meat thermometer — guessing ruins good steak.

Scaling: To double: cook in two batches. Steak does not reheat well — cook what you will eat. To halve: cook 1 steak, halve butter.
