Zone 2 • Lower Rack
Air Fry Basket
Size: air fry basket
✅ Fits perfectly
✅ Guaranteed Fit — Max dish size per rack: 12"W × 11.5"D × 4"H. All our recipes use dishes that actually fit your Ninja Double Stack XL DCT401.
💡 Use the air fry basket lined with perforated parchment. Do not overcrowd — leave space between donut holes. Roll in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
🥘 Ingredients
Main
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count, like Pillsbury Grands)
Coating
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter (melted)
Cooking
  • cooking spray (as needed)
📝 Instructions
  1. Open biscuit can. Separate into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters. Shared 💡 Each biscuit makes 4 donut holes — you will get 32 total.
  2. Roll each quarter between your palms into a smooth ball. Shared 💡 Smooth balls bake evenly. Cracks and creases stay that way after cooking.
  3. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Set aside. Shared 💡 Use a wide, shallow bowl so you can roll multiple donut holes at once.
  4. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 350°F for 3 minutes. Spray basket with cooking spray. Lower Oven 💡 350°F cooks the dough through without burning the outside.
  5. Place dough balls in the basket with space between each. Air Fry at 350°F for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Lower Oven 💡 Work in batches — about 8-10 balls per batch. They will expand as they cook.
  6. While hot, brush each donut hole with melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar to coat. Shared 💡 Butter + warmth = sugar sticks. Roll while hot or the coating will not adhere.
  7. Serve warm. Best within 30 minutes of cooking. Shared 💡 These do not keep well — make what you will eat. They are dangerously easy to finish.
💡 Ninja Tips

The canned biscuit hack makes these absurdly easy while tasting homemade. Do not use flaky layers biscuits — they unravel. Grands or buttermilk biscuits work best. For homemade dough, a basic yeasted donut dough works beautifully at 350°F.

Scaling: To double: use 2 cans of biscuits, cook in batches. To halve: use 1/2 can (4 biscuits).
