💡 Use the air fry basket. Do not overcrowd — sprouts need space for air to circulate and crisp the leaves. Shake halfway through. Use a solid pan (not the basket) — this recipe contains liquids.

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Glaze
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
Garnish
  • shaved Parmesan (optional, for garnish)
📝 Instructions
  1. Trim the tough stem end off each sprout and remove any loose outer leaves. Cut in half lengthwise. Shared 💡 Those loose outer leaves get extra crispy — do not throw them away, throw them in the pan!
  2. Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shared 💡 Massage the oil into every sprout — it is what creates the crispy exterior.
  3. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 380°F for 3 minutes. Lower Oven
  4. Place sprouts cut-side down in the pan in a single layer. Air Fry at 380°F for 7 minutes. Lower Oven 💡 Cut-side down gives the flat surface maximum contact with the hot basket for deep browning.
  5. Shake the pan vigorously. Air Fry at 380°F for another 5 minutes until deeply browned and crispy on the edges. Lower Oven 💡 Sprouts should look almost burnt in spots — that is caramelization, and it is delicious.
  6. While sprouts cook, whisk balsamic vinegar and honey together. Shared 💡 Taste the glaze — add more honey for sweeter, more vinegar for tangier.
  7. Transfer hot sprouts to a bowl, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and toss. Garnish with shaved Parmesan if desired. Shared 💡 Tossing while hot lets the glaze cling and slightly reduce on the warm sprouts.
💡 Ninja Tips

Uniform size halving is key — small sprouts cook faster. If your sprouts vary in size, cut the large ones into quarters. The crispy loose leaves are the best part — add them to the basket for the last 5 minutes.

Scaling: To double: cook in two batches. Overcrowded sprouts steam. To halve: use 1/2 lb sprouts.
