  • 3 cups shredded russet potatoes (freshly grated, squeezed dry)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt (kosher)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (secret to extra crispiness)
📝 Instructions
  1. Grate potatoes. Transfer to clean towel and squeeze HARD to remove all moisture. Shared 💡 Dry potatoes = crispy hash browns. This is the most critical step.
  2. Toss dried potatoes with oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cornstarch. Shared 💡 Cornstarch is the secret weapon for crispiness.
  3. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 380°F for 3 minutes. Shared 💡 Hot basket = instant sear.
  4. Spread potatoes in thin even layer in pan. Do not pack down. Top Oven 💡 Thin layer = every strand crisps. Overcrowding steams.
  5. Air Fry at 380°F for 10 minutes. Toss/flip, then cook 5 more minutes. Top Oven 💡 The toss exposes uncrisped strands underneath.
  6. Season with extra salt immediately. Rest 2 minutes. Shared 💡 Salt while hot so it adheres.
💡 Ninja Tips

SQUEEZE water out thoroughly — moisture is the enemy. Fresh potatoes beat frozen. Preheat the basket. Dont flip too early — let crust form first.

Scaling: Double: Two batches or both zones. Half: Use 1.5 cups potato; cut cook 2 minutes.
