🥘 Ingredients
Main
  • 4 tilapia fillets (about 4 oz each)
Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
Garnish
  • fresh dill (for garnish)
  • lemon slices (for garnish)
📝 Instructions
  1. Pat tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Shared 💡 Frozen fillets must be fully thawed and patted dry or they will release water and steam.
  2. Brush both sides of fillets with olive oil. Shared 💡 Oil creates a barrier that prevents the fish from drying out.
  3. Mix lemon zest, garlic powder, lemon pepper, and salt. Sprinkle evenly over both sides of fillets. Shared 💡 Zest the lemon BEFORE juicing it — you cannot zest a squeezed lemon.
  4. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 375°F for 3 minutes. Lower Oven 💡 375°F is the sweet spot — hot enough for color, gentle enough for delicate fish.
  5. Place fillets on parchment in the pan in a single layer. Air Fry at 375°F for 8-10 minutes until fish flakes easily with a fork. Lower Oven 💡 Tilapia is done when it turns opaque and flakes — do not overcook.
  6. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets. Garnish with dill and lemon slices. Serve immediately. Shared 💡 The fresh lemon juice at the end brightens everything — do not skip it.
💡 Ninja Tips

Tilapia is lean — do not overcook. It is done at 140-145°F internal and should flake easily. If fillets are uneven thickness, fold thin ends under for uniform cooking. Perforated parchment prevents sticking without inhibiting airflow.

Scaling: To double: cook in two batches. To halve: cook 2 fillets, halve seasoning.
