💡 Use the air fry basket. Choose bone-in or thick-cut (at least 1 inch) pork chops for best results. Thin chops dry out before they develop a crust. Use a solid pan (not the basket) — this recipe contains liquids.

🥘 Ingredients
Main
  • 2 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick, about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Coating
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
📝 Instructions
  1. Remove pork chops from fridge 20 minutes before cooking. Pat completely dry. Shared 💡 Room-temp meat cooks more evenly and stays juicier.
  2. Mix Parmesan, smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Shared 💡 This dry coating creates a flavorful crust without breading.
  3. Brush pork chops all over with olive oil. Press the Parmesan mixture onto both sides. Shared 💡 Really press the coating in — it should stick like a crust.
  4. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 400°F for 3 minutes. Lower Oven 💡 High heat sears the outside quickly, locking in moisture.
  5. Place pork chops in the pan. Air Fry at 400°F for 6 minutes. Lower Oven 💡 If your chops are thicker than 1 inch, add 1-2 minutes per side.
  6. Flip carefully. Air Fry at 400°F for another 5-6 minutes until internal temp reaches 145°F. Lower Oven 💡 USDA says 145°F for pork — it will be slightly pink in the center, which is perfect!
  7. Tent loosely with foil and rest 3 minutes before serving. Shared 💡 The rest is crucial — carryover cooking takes it to 150°F and juices redistribute.
💡 Ninja Tips

Modern pork raised in the US is safe at 145°F with a slight pink center. Overcooking to 160°F (the old standard) produces dry, tough chops. A meat thermometer is essential.

Scaling: To double: cook in two batches. To halve: cook 1 chop, halve coating mixture.
