Burgers
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 4 slices American cheese
Assembly
  • 4 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls recommended)
  • 1/4 cup burger sauce (mayo + ketchup + pickle relish)
  • 4 slices dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
📝 Instructions
  1. Divide beef into 4 equal 4-oz balls. Do not overwork the meat. Shared 💡 Loose-pack balls smash better than tight-packed.
  2. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 400°F. Line basket with parchment. Shared 💡 Parchment prevents sticking — smash burgers are fragile.
  3. Place beef balls in basket spaced apart. Smash HARD with spatula to about 1/4 inch thick. Top Oven 💡 Smash within first 30 seconds while basket is hottest.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Air Fry at 400°F for 4 minutes. Top Oven 💡 Lacy brown edges developing — that is the smash burger magic.
  5. Flip carefully with thin spatula (scrape under). Air Fry 3-4 more minutes. Top Oven 💡 Get under the crust when flipping — do not tear it.
  6. Add cheese in last minute. Toast buns cut-side down for 30 seconds. Top Oven 💡 Cheese needs just 1 minute to melt perfectly.
  7. Assemble with burger sauce, pickles, lettuce. Rest 2 minutes. Shared 💡 Sliders are best eaten immediately while cheese is molten.
💡 Ninja Tips

80/20 beef for flavor. Smash hard and fast. Loose-pack balls. Parchment is essential. Flip with thin spatula. Toast buns in basket last minute.
