💡 Use the air fry basket. Line with foil or perforated parchment. Salmon skin will stick otherwise. Brush teriyaki glaze on during the last few minutes to prevent burning. Use a solid pan (not the basket) — this recipe contains liquids.

🥘 Ingredients
Main
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin-on)
Teriyaki Glaze
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
Garnish
  • sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • green onions (sliced)
Serving
  • steamed rice (for serving)
📝 Instructions
  1. Pat salmon fillets dry. Let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Shared 💡 Room-temp salmon cooks more evenly and is less likely to have a raw center.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Reserve half for serving. Shared 💡 Reserving some glaze for drizzling avoids raw fish cross-contamination.
  3. Brush salmon fillets all over with half the glaze. Let sit 5 minutes. Shared 💡 Even a 5-minute marinade infuses the surface with flavor.
  4. Preheat Ninja on Air Fry at 400°F for 3 minutes. Lower Oven
  5. Place salmon skin-side down on parchment in the pan. Air Fry at 400°F for 6 minutes. Lower Oven 💡 Skin-side down protects the delicate flesh from direct heat.
  6. Brush with more glaze. Air Fry at 400°F for 4-6 more minutes until salmon flakes easily and internal temp reaches 135°F for medium. Lower Oven 💡 Salmon at 135°F is medium and moist. 145°F is well-done and drier.
  7. Rest 3 minutes. Drizzle with reserved glaze, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice. Shared 💡 The reserved glaze adds a fresh burst of flavor that cooked glaze cannot match.
💡 Ninja Tips

Medium (135°F) salmon is silky and moist. Well-done (145°F) is firmer. The glaze burns easily — only apply during the last few minutes. For crispy skin, flip the salmon skin-side up for the final 3 minutes.

Scaling: To double: cook in two batches. To halve: cook 1 fillet, halve glaze.
