gluten-free
🥘 Ingredients
Vegetables
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts (halved, outer leaves removed)
  • 4 slices bacon (chopped into small pieces)
Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (pure, not pancake syrup)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans (roughly chopped)
📝 Instructions
  1. Trim and halve Brussels sprouts. Toss with chopped raw bacon, olive oil, salt, pepper. Shared 💡 Raw bacon on the pan renders fat and crisps alongside sprouts.
  2. Preheat Ninja on Air Roast at 400°F. Spread on sheet pan single layer, cut side down. Shared 💡 Cut side down = maximum caramelization on the flat surface.
  3. Air Roast at 400°F for 12 minutes. Do not toss. Top Oven 💡 No tossing — let the cut sides develop deep caramelization.
  4. Drizzle maple syrup and balsamic over sprouts. Toss to coat. Roast 6 more minutes. Top Oven 💡 Adding syrup mid-roast prevents burning.
  5. Sprouts done when deeply browned with crispy outer leaves. Top Oven 💡 Crispy outer leaves are the best part — like vegetable chips.
  6. Garnish with toasted pecans. Serve immediately. Shared 💡 Pecans add crunch and nuttiness that completes the dish.
💡 Ninja Tips

Cut side DOWN for caramelization. Raw bacon renders fat right on the pan. Add maple mid-roast. Crispy outer leaves are the goal. Pecans for crunch.

Scaling: Double: Two pans or batches. Half: 1/2 lb sprouts; reduce roast 3 minutes.
